Hi, I am Kurt !

Thanks for stopping by. I’m not a botanist or a trained horticulturist — I’m a home grower who got hooked on growing herbs, and learned almost everything the hard way.

It started a few years ago with the usual suspects, mint and basil, on a windowsill. Since then I’ve accidentally killed, drowned, burned, frozen and starved more herbs than I’d like to admit. Every one of those failures taught me something — and that’s exactly what this site is built on.

Why I made Amazing Herb Garden

My goal is simple: to help beginners grow herbs that actually survive — and then thrive — so you can enjoy a healthy harvest all season instead of replacing sad supermarket pots every few weeks.

Everything here comes from my own pots, windowsills and grow lights. When something works, I’ll show you how. When it fails, I’ll tell you that too — because knowing what not to do saves you the most time, money and frustration.

Real experiments, honest results

I don’t just collect tips from around the internet. I try things in my own garden — different watering routines, soil mixes, grow lights, propagation methods — and report what actually happened, with photos and, increasingly, video.

I grow in Belgium, in plant hardiness zone 8, so I deal with real seasons: short, dark winters and all the problems that come with them. A lot of what you’ll find here started as me trying to solve a problem in my own herb garden.

See it, don’t just read it

Reading about growing herbs is one thing — watching it happen is another. I film my experiments and beginner guides so you can see exactly what I mean, step by step.

A quick note on honesty: some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. I only point to gear I’ve actually used or would genuinely recommend.
